Impacts of COVID-19 on the Haitian Migrant Population and Their Descendants in the Dominican Republic's Border Region with Haiti - Migracion y Desarrollo, volume 22, issue 42
Abstract. The COVID-19 pandemic revealed and deepened existing inequalities affecting Haitian migrants and their stateless descendants in the Dominican Republic. A key dimension of this inequality remains access to identity documentation, which is essential for health services and social protection. This article presents findings from a study in the southern border region and analyzes the structural precarity faced by this population.
