The Dominican-Haitian Border: Past and Present

On December 18, OBMICA commemorates International Migrants Day with this video about some of the activities carried out at the border in October 2017, 80 years after the massacre of Haitians and Dominicans of Haitian descent in this border strip.

Our lens focuses on the situation of fraternal exchange and cross-border trade that has mostly characterized relations among the inhabitants on one side and the other of this dividing line between Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
