Alternative Report to the CEDAW Committee: Gender Discrimination in the Right to Nationality in the Dominican Republic

This alternative report was submitted by OBMICA and the Open Society Justice Initiative as part of the Dominican Republic's review by the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women during its 55th session in Geneva in July 2013. The report focuses on discriminatory practices affecting Haitian women and Dominican women of Haitian descent in relation to nationality rights, their children's access to education, and their own access to health services.
