Editorial One case experienced with greater or lesser intensity by those who served in diplomatic and consular posts in Haiti is that of Black Dominicans being included in groups of Haitians deported from the Dominican Republic. Good news from the U.S. "I come from a country that no longer exists," Ambartsoumian-Clough explained to OBMICA. She is one of 218,000 stateless people living in the United States, according to official DHS figures. In August, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security stated that it would clarify what statelessness means for immigration purposes. Read more...

A joint report on the situation of children and adolescents in the Dominican Republic emphasizes the rights to nationality, equality, non-discrimination, and access to education and health.
