Information Desk for the Venezuelan Regularization Process in the Dominican Republic
The General Directorate of Migration (DGM) reported that the regularization process has begun for more than 115,000 Venezuelans residing in the country with irregular status. For this process, Migration Director Enrique Garcia appointed Pedro Peralta, the official in charge of the Plan, who manages the process and the way interested persons can access the digital platform.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) supports the implementation of this plan and, for that purpose, has offices in five provinces of the country so that those who require information can obtain it. The IOM supports the DGM with personnel and equipment, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the issuance of visas to Venezuelans, strengthens eight Venezuelan civil society organizations so that they can provide free guidance, supplies technological equipment, and helps low-income families so they can access the plan. The Dominican Republic is one of the last countries in the region to address this issue with the Venezuelan population.
