#VenezuelaMigra: Expert Statement on the Prevention and Eradication of Statelessness in the Americas
Experts on statelessness issued recommendations to the States of the Americas to guarantee the right to nationality and the eradication of statelessness in light of mixed migration flows from Venezuela. The Expert Statement on the Prevention and Eradication of Statelessness in the Americas was drafted and signed on July 2, 2019.

The expert Statement on the prevention and eradication of statelessness in the Americas was drafted and signed on July 2, 2019. Bridget Wooding, Director of OBMICA, is part of the group working on this issue together with the signatories. It is the result of meetings and discussions during the World Conference on Statelessness, held in The Hague from June 26 to 28 and organized by the Institute on Statelessness and Inclusion (ISI).
In line with applicable international standards, the specialists recommend in the Statement that States of the Americas implement appropriate actions to protect people in situations of vulnerability within the emerging migratory movements from Venezuela.
