Launch in Haiti: French Translation of a Book on Violence against Haitian Migrant Women
December 8, 2014--Bridget Wooding and Allison Petrozziello, representatives of OBMICA and authors of the study "Fanm nan fwontye, fanm toupatou: A look at violence against Haitian migrant, in-transit and displaced women on the Dominican-Haitian border", commissioned by Colectiva Mujer y Salud and Mujeres del Mundo, traveled to Haiti to present the French translation
8 December 2014--Bridget Wooding and Allison Petrozziello, representatives of OBMICA and authors of the study "Fanm nan fwontye, fanm toupatou: A look at violence against Haitian migrant women, women in transit and displaced women on the Dominican-Haitian border," commissioned by the Colectiva Mujer y Salud and Mujeres del Mundo, traveled to Haiti to present the French translation of that study.
The event was held in the symbolic setting of the University of Limonade, between Ouanaminthe and Cap-Haitien, Haiti, which was donated by the Dominican Republic as part of post-earthquake solidarity. It featured the participation of the host and campus rector, Jean Marie Theodat, as well as representatives of the donor that financed the translation, Norwegian Church Aid, and a large audience of more than 50 students. In 2015, it will be launched in Port-au-Prince.
