OBMICA Works on the First Migration Profile of the Dominican Republic

June 1, 2016. The Caribbean Migration and Social Development Observatory, OBMICA, is leading the research and drafting of the first migration profile of the Dominican Republic, together with the Caribbean Studies Center of the Pontifical Catholic Mother and Teacher University, with institutional support from the National Migration Institute of the Dominican Republic.

OBMICA is leading the research and drafting of the first migration profile of the Dominican Republic, in partnership with the Caribbean Studies Center of PUCMM and with support from the National Migration Institute. The project is financed by the International Organization for Migration.

The study aims to describe and analyze migration trends, determinants, and policy implications, while organizing existing data to support evidence-based migration and development policies in the country.
