Responsibilities of the Coordinator
The Project Coordinator will play a key role in the implementation and follow-up of several projects at OBMICA, with the following responsibilities:
- Representation: Acting as OBMICA's main liaison in activities related to the projects, participating in meetings with authorities, partner organizations, and key communities.
- Comprehensive management: Designing, coordinating, and overseeing the implementation of project activities, including workshops, trainings, research, and community monitoring.
- Supervision of deliverables: Coordinating and following up on tasks carried out by consultants and partners, ensuring quality and compliance with deadlines.
- Strategic planning: Contributing to the development of communication strategies and political advocacy agendas to maximize project impact.
- Reporting and evaluation: Preparing periodic reports on project progress, results, and indicators, using designated tools and platforms.
- Data management: Overseeing the collection, systematization, and analysis of information coming from communities, institutions, and other relevant actors.
- Cross-cutting coordination: Ensuring that the activities of the different projects are aligned with OBMICA's overall objectives, fostering synergies among them.
Required Profile
- Master's degree in Social Sciences, Human Rights, International Cooperation, or related fields.
- At least 3 years of experience in social research, project management, and human rights.
- Deep knowledge of the Dominican context and migration and nationality issues.
- Strong writing, synthesis, and ICT skills.
- Gender perspective and competence in Spanish; knowledge of English, French, or Haitian Creole is valued.
