The Observatory for Caribbean Migrants and Social Development (OBMICA), together with the Center for Sustainable Development (CEDESO), requires the services of a consultant to carry out the EXTERNAL EVALUATION of the three-year Trato Digno Project, which closes in 2022. We invite you to review the call and/or circulate it to anyone who may be interested.

The three-year project "Joining efforts to prevent arbitrary detentions and/or deportations of migrants and their descendants" (EIDHR/2019/412-833), which seeks better compliance with the rights of Haitian people and their descendants in situations of greater vulnerability on the island, is reaching the end of its implementation. Within this framework, OBMICA and CEDESO are calling on research professionals and people from related fields with the required skills to submit consultancy proposals for the evaluation of the Trato Digno Project.

 

 

Candidate profile for the consultancy:

Without these being exclusionary requirements, applicants are encouraged to have the following competencies:

  • Professional background, with undergraduate-level training in a relevant topic;
  • Residence on the island, and preferably field experience in the subject matter to be addressed;
  • Good interpersonal relations;
  • Diplomacy;
  • Strong ability to synthesize and write in Spanish;
  • Experience conducting focus groups;
  • Sensitivity to gender and inter-ethnic relations.

Deadline for submitting applications

Interested parties are asked to send a letter of motivation, accompanied by an updated CV (for each team member, if applicable), and a list of references or materials demonstrating prior experience in the preparation of similar products to the email addresses protected from spam robots before 5:00 p.m. on December 23, 2022.
