Azueï and Delma T1 in Concert in Comendador for Harmony and Coexistence at the Border
October 20, 2017. Azueï will give a very special performance in Comendador, Elias Pina, as part of the program “Memories and Conflicts at the Border: Building the Future,” organized by the Observatory for Caribbean Migrants and Social Development in commemoration of the 1937 border events.
Alongside the band, a multidisciplinary project composed of young Dominican and Haitian musicians, there will be Dominican rapper and activist for the rights of people affected by ruling 168-13 Delma T1, as guest artist for the afternoon of Tuesday the 24th.
Azueï considers itself a binational artistic movement whose search and reflection center on a culture of peace between Haiti and the Dominican Republic, something that has become evident in the performances they have given in both countries.
Delma is the author of urban music that draws from both cultures and that also offers a view of the current reality of the community to which he belongs and of the country's youth, making him a voluntary chronicler of his moment.
All residents of Comendador are invited to this concert, which will take place at 5 p.m. in front of the Juan Pablo Duarte Cultural Center of Comendador. Admission is free.
